Astellas is announcing a Research Associate I, Analytical Development opportunity at their Astellas Institute of Regenerative Medicine (AIRM) site in Westborough, MA.
Purpose:
The Research Associate will support assay development and qualification activities by performing cell culture and wet lab experiments and analyzing data.
This individual will be expected to execute protocols with guidance and have the ability to summarize results independently.
They will collaborate closely within the team and across functional groups to advance pipeline programs.
Essential Job
Responsibilities:
Follow established techniques in cell culture, cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, and immunology to generate and analyze data in an accurate and reproducible manner.
Follows SOPs and batch records to execute experiments in analytical development related activities Maintains accurate records in laboratory notebooks, appropriate databases, and inventories in a timely manner.
Under supervision of senior colleagues on developing project strategy including studies, objectives, and timelines that support long-term project team goals and objectives Quantitative Dimensions:
The position has direct impact on the efficiency of the Analytical and Process Science & Technology teams/CMC Technical Operations Department Organizational Context:
Reports to Analytical Development Associate Director, Department of CMC Technical Operations
Qualifications:
Required:
BS degree in Live Sciences or Biomedical Sciences related filed 5 to 2 years of related aseptic tissue culture technique Hands-on knowledge of molecular and cell biology analytical methods Excellent skills with MSOffice suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Teams Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends Preferred:
Previous experience with pluripotent cells Experience in analytical development, data analysis, and reporting.
Experience in molecular- and cell-based methodologies (e.
g.
, qPCR or ddPCR, ELISA, flow cytometry)
