We are rapidly growing and need a Key Account Manager to join our team!This is a Remote Opportunity- if you're on the West Coast we'd love to have a conversation!The Key Account Manager has responsibility for the overall quality of relationship and prospects with one of Ascend Elements existing major blue-chip clients.
The Key Account Manager is the lead point of contact for all business and commercial topics between AE and customers and supports the cross functional teams to deliver a quality product and service to the customers.
Primary Responsibilities Overall responsible for the quality of relationship between AE and its major client Lead point of contact to the customer supply chain & purchasing departments that are responsible for both the sourcing of suppliers to recycle the customers battery scrap & EOL material and the strategic sourcing of suppliers for the development & supply of battery materials (Li, pCAM and CAM) with the objective of creating a closed loop relationship with customers Responsible for managing all commercial aspects of existing contracts and developing new business opportunities to expand AE business with customers Contract management, overseeing commercial aspects of programs between AE and its customer are executed according to contract which include overseeing day to day order management, business system interface, sample pricing and invoicing Preparing quotations and presentations of new proposals to customers Working closely with finance coordinating the preparation of customer price breakdowns & negotiating running changes Forecasting revenue for the customer accounts short & long term forecasts of running business and new opportunities Demonstrating / gathering an intimate knowledge & understanding of the customer organization, connecting the AE organization to customer executive management and functional leaders to their counterparts Be available as a reliable escalation point of contact for the quality, program and operational function at the customer, play an active role in resolving any customer concerns with service provided by AE Gathering customer, market and competitor intel to contribute to shaping AE product & business strategyQualifications and
Experience:
At least 7 years Account Management or Commercial experience working with a major international automotive vehicle manufacturer Track record of securing new business with engineered systems or products, developed and validated specifically for use on OEMs production application experience in the area of electrification, lithium ion batteries or battery materials would be an advantage Fluent in English, ability to speak German / French / Spanish would be an advantage Hands-on, detailed oriented leader who promotes a lean culture oriented towards action Proficient in all forms of Microsoft office products Ability to react to adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently Strong written, oral communication and presentation skills Well-presented individual with strong interpersonal skills Experienced negotiator Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an occasionally high-pressure environment Fast-paced, hands on, start-up type environment Fairly regular travel inside the US to AE and customer locations as well as conferences, potential for occasional international travelAPPLY TODAY!Ascend Elements is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
