Job Description
The Assistant Vice President of Human Resources Operations acts as the ambassador of BJ's Wholesale Club's core values; Team, Community, Respect and Integrity. This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources Operations and provides both strategic and operational HR support to the Home Office in Westborough, MA.
The responsibilities of the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources Operations is to lead and manage several large-scale projects to include all aspects of human resource management. All responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Collaborate with business leaders to ensure BJ's develops and retains quality talent while focusing on best-in-class recruiting strategies and execution, as well as talent pipeline development and management
Develop and track key metrics to determine overall effectiveness of HR/Talent Acquisition initiatives within assigned area
Provide leadership management to a team of direct and indirect reports, while promoting innovation and collaboration
Partner with internal stakeholders and serve as a resource to the organization on HR related matters and provide expert advice and communication
Responsible for developing and maintaining personnel policies and procedures that effectively drive intended organizational behavior/outcomes at Home Office to ensure their compliance with all federal and state employment laws
Oversees the management of the BJ's Connect portal through which key policies, personnel practices, regulatory information and behavioral expectations are communicated to all Team Members
Remain current with external labor market conditions, human resources trends and labor laws
Job Requirements
10+ years of broad Human Resources expertise in a fast paced organization with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
Strong business acumen with knowledge of employment law
Communication of budgetary performance to Executive Management
Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills with ability to work with all levels of the organization
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Management
Advanced degree strongly preferred with a concentration in Human Resources or Employment Law

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
