Financial Analyst - Westborough, MA

PRIMARY PURPOSE :
Responsible for analyzing and reporting on all aspects of company financial performance including revenue, cost of sales, operating expenses, capital expenditures and performing financial due diligence on acquisition targets.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for senior management, board of directors, investors, lenders, and rating agencies.
Supporting business development by analyzing target acquisitions and performing required financial due diligence on the target.
Assisting with oversight and implementation of corporate projects and best practice initiatives.
Assisting in the development of budgets, forecasts, and variance reports required by management.
Providing monthly variance analysis and reporting for supported organizations, and highlight key issues and trends influencing performance goals, as well as risks and opportunities.
Working with department managers to manage spending, identify, problem areas, perform gap analysis, and recommend corrective action.
Assist with business performance analysis as needed, including helping organization prepare for Board of Director reviews, ensure financial and operating plans are appropriately structured and utilize meaningful business dashboards and metricsPerform ad hoc analysis as needed for senior managementOther duties as assigned/ as needed SUPERVISORY

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience required showing increasing responsibilities; a strong understanding of accounting and finance principles & accounting systems to enable quick identification of problems & solutions; computer literacy, with excel spreadsheet excellence; knowledge and experience in equipment rental/construction or logistics industry a plus; effective leadership/motivation organization, and communication skills; self starter; strong work ethic; ability to function in dynamic environment and set priorities; multi-task capabilities with attention to detail; strong ability to meet deadlines.
LANGUAGE SKILLS :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to customers, clients, and employees of the USS organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :
Ability to calculate and analyze complex financial data including Return on Investment (ROI), Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR), Net Present Value (NPV), etc.
and develop financial models to expedite turnaround on deliverables.
REASONING ABILITY :
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :
Valid Driver License (Class C) when off-site travel required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
